Subject: [sv-bc] Issue found by cc committee on the syntax of a DPI import declaration

The cc committee recently discovered an inconsistency between the syntax of
a DPI import declaration and the examples using it. The keyword function
was suppressed from the DPI
import declaration (since it is not present in the named_function_prototype
anymore).
All other derivation rules using the named_function_prototype have preceded
the named_function_prototype by the keyword function or task. However the
DPI import
declaration did not.

The CC committee is asking what was the reason of dropping the function
keyword from dpi_import derivation rule? Was it intentional or an accident?
