This week I have requested the Accellera Board to extend special voting
rights to IEEE 1364. According to Accellera Voting procedure, on critical
items only one vote is allowed per group or company. In everyday process or
procedure, we usually vote based a individual basis and not company/group.
Even in these non-critical circumstances we are violating Accellera rules.
In addition only Accellera members can vote (starting with associate
members). Although Accellera has individual membership, these individuals do
not vote.
To recognize the good participation by Stu, Stefen and Cliff, The accellera
Board has voted to make their count based on the fact they come from IEEE
1364. So non-critical votes, these individuals can vote as an individuals.
However on critical votes, the three need to decide as a group and their
vote can count as one. Like any other Accellera member they have to qualify
for the vote, such meeting attendance.
