Subject: Re: [sv-ec] Agenda for Monday 7 April 2003 meeting
David,
I will not be attending but here are my comments. Feel free to circulate
them if you want.
LRM-1 agreed
LRM-7 int
LRM-8 i do not understand the sentence, even changed.
LRM-10 ->> is not an operator, so does not need a precedence. Use
"statement" or "construct"
LRM-11 ok
LRM-14 :: is also not an operator, since neither operand can be a general
expression. It is part of a hierarchical name.
LRM-15 sections 5.2 and 5.5 have the lifetime first. Verilog 2001 does not
have the static keyword.
LRM-16 I think the precedence of "inside" should be above assignment
operators, which should not be allowed in the list.
LRM-17 I think the precedence of "dist" should be above assignment
operators, which should not be allowed in the list.
LRM-18 := and :/ should be above assignment operators
LRM-19 => should be the lowest priority
LRM-20 sections 5.2 and 5.5 have the lifetime first. Verilog 2001 does not
have the static keyword
LRM-21 use Verilog 2001 syntax int unsigned
LRM-22 use Verilog 2001 syntax int unsigned
LRM-23 should "handle" be used instead of "object"?
LRM-47 $built-in is historical from Superlog I think, and should be replaced
by handle.

Greetings,
Draft 4 is now out and available. We will have our scheduled meeting at
11:00am until 1:00pm (Pacific) as planned.
The TCC has come to a conclusion on our schedule for closure. Here it is:
Schedule
April 11 - all changes in including BNF(except for AC which is working a
special process and doing their own editing) have been sent to David S. for
incorporation in Change list for LRM and David sends the completed material
to Stu.
April 14 - AC Section 17 (in Frame) and related BNF are sent to Stu/Stefen
April 15 - Stu completes the LRM draft 5 and sends to the committees
April 23-April 29 - Committees vote on the LRM
April 29 - Any changes from the voting process are complete and in Draft 6
(a clean version goes to the TCC and the Accellera Board)
May 15 - Champion and also SV chairs should set down and review the entire
volume and provide Stu with correction.
NOTE: This is confusing. If there are to be no changes in the LRM after it
is sent to the board except for spelling and grammer then what are the
Champions doing and what type of corrections will Stu get. I would contend
that the only action that can be done by this date is errata and NO
technical or clarification changes.
May 24 - Stu completes final LRM and sends to chairs for approval.
May 25 - Chairs send errata to Stu on the final LRM (make sure all changes
have been made correctly).
May 26 - Stu publishes final version
