Subject: RE: [sv-ec] EMAIL VOTE on Errata and Extensions

Greetings,
I am updating the site to include the corrected BNF (as a correction to the
original proposal). Since the vote closes today and this change came in
after the vote was called I will request that any objections to this
correction be posted either on the email reflector or on the conference call
by the end of the meeting on Monday. If there are no objections by then I
will assume that all votes on ERR-9 are as sent by the end of today.
Regards
David

You are right, Neil. Thanks for catching my mistake.
Attached is the revised version of the proposal.

Hi Brad,
In reviewing the BNF changes for ERR-9 I came across the following:
In A.2.2.1, REPLACE port_type with
port_type ::=
data_type
| net_type_or_trireg { packed_dimension }
| [ signing ] packed_dimension { packed_dimension }
The original was
port_type ::=
data_type
| net_type [ signing ] { packed_dimension }
| trireg [ signing ] { packed_dimension }
| [ signing ] { packed_dimension } range
It wasn't clear to me why [signing] was removed from the following line in
the proposed BNF.
| net_type_or_trireg { packed_dimension } // proposed
| net_type_or_trireg [ signing ] { packed_dimension } // should be
this?
