Hi Everyone,

After a lot of legwork, proposal draft after draft, and running these ideas by many of you, we, Intel are ready to officially pass along our proposal of what we are now calling 'interface classes'. I have updated the Mantis items (1356) with this information and am attaching the proposal here in this email as well.

You will see that we went after the Java style 'interface' approach limiting some of the complexities that were introduced into C++ for true multiple inheritance while giving SystemVerilog a chance to support the aspects of multiple inheritance that will allow end users to better consolidate and manage their code.

Please note that this draft has been through a lot of changes so there are bound to be some inconsistencies, so please focus first on the big picture for now and let's iron out the details in the next few months.

Huge thanks to Brandon Tipp (from Intel) who helped me significantly to pull this spec together!

Thanks, -Tom
