Subject: [sv-bc] RE: Mantis 1523 conditional operator with arrays
Hi,
I have somewhat hurriedly prepared a new proposal based on Dave's with the following changes:
1. More accurately, I hope, reflects the behavior of reals.
2. Left in "and aggregate expressions" because the preceding paragraph in the text also refers to "nonintegral and aggregate expressions".
3. Changed "default uninitialized value" to "value specified in Table 7-1".
4. Did not change the general statement about other types of expressions that can be implicitly cast to integral type, to refer specifically to enums. Since 6.19.4 says, " An enum variable or identifier used as part of an expression is automatically cast to the base type of the num declaration (either explicitly or using int as the default)" the entire statement might not be needed at all.
Since I did this in haste, there might be some silly errors in it.
Regards,
Shalom
