Vassilios,

Without the specify block, Verilog-1995 would probably not have become
the gate-level darling it did combined with RTL in one, single language.
We owe this to you and your early work and persistence.

And again, without your work to bring more into Verilog-2001, like
extensions for higher-level design, assertions, direct programming
capabilities and object-oriented testbench features in one, single
language, we would not have had SystemVerilog. Your tireless work to
drive donations into Accellera allowed the handed off a solid piece of
work for IEEE standardization. It is rare to have two outstanding
technical stewards to chair and guide this development.

As you congratulate Johny, I would also like to take my hat off to you
and congratulate you. This legacy has broad and enduring industry
impact that the two of you brought forward.

Thank you,

Dennis

Congratulation everyone. This is really great by the
two team> It is great to see after four years of
working on SystemVerilog it is now an IEEE standard
and many EDA and user support. I want to thank Johny
for making this happen
