Sort of like a vhdl configuration declaration which overrides generic bindings of component instances? The difference in vhdl being that these generic rebindings are restricted by location (they must be in a configuration declaration) and number (there can't be more than one rebinding of an instance). Defparams have no such restrictions, which is why they are troublesome. PaulReceived on Thu Nov 10 04:57:39 2005
