Hi, This is feedback from OVL committee on Dmitry's proposals. Thanks for pointing people to the two most important documents, from an OVL point of view. I think feedback from the OVL group today could fall into the following categories: 1) Priority of any language extensions that benefit the existing OVL: - Instancing OVL modules, e.g.: - variable number of ports in modules - named port/param argument defaults via `define - Language extensions that improve the verification efficiency of the OVL implementation, e.g. next-value functions to avoid $past - Note that lanaguage extensions that simplify the implementation of the OVL library is not so important 2) Endorsement of new "checker" container from an OVL perspective, and if so: - Would we have an SVA "checker" implementation in the future, alongside module implementations in Verilog and SVA? - Priority of features in checker proposals 3) General feedback on language proposals, details or typos spotted. Today's call should focus on (1) and (2), with (3) provided offline. Maybe we should vote on (2) after today's call. Though the presentation on the checkers is not self-sufficient and uses the material explained in other presentations, it is the central part of the proposal from OVL point of view, and I would like to focus on it.
