Dave, There was a problem with Spam filters over at Stanford. This may be the reason for the problems you were experiencing. Neil -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Eda.org Majordomo email problems with mail through ieee.org Date: Wed, 15 Nov 2006 13:15:42 -0500 From: Steve Grout <grouts@earthlink.net> Organization: CAD & Digitizing Consultant Mj-sysops - This is to alert you to a problem thats just popped up between list email on eda.org (aka dasc.org and other related names for the same eda.org physical site) that's going to (through) ieee.org's email aliases many of us use. Stanford (Joe Little) and our site managers (David Smith and Mark Holm) are working to resolve what happened and to get this bounce source resolved. Couple basics for you who 'speak' smtp etc email technical talk: - Yesterday (or so), Stanford did some adjusting on the stuff they use to keep spam out of our email. Apparently that may have mistuned our traffic so that ieee.org then started to bounce our traffic to ieee.org email addresses. - Our and ieee.org site people are, as we speak, sorting out the exact path we email from, and to 'whitelist' our traffic. Will keep you posted. --Steve Grout - eda.org's majordom@eda.org Rich, Dave wrote On 11/17/06 09:14,: > Is anyone else experiencing delays with getting emails from the > reflector?
