Hi All.

Neil has responded to my requests regarding Mantis issues: 2097, 2235,
1829 and 2269.
In summary, we have certain permission to work on 2097 and 2235. Neil
will get
clarification on 1829 so it can be driven to resolution.

Neil also suggested that work can be done for 2269, provided the results
don't
impact other committees. 1800 WG must give final approval for including
any resolution of 2269 in 1800-2008. 1800 WG next meets on Feb 28.

Here are Neil's words:

(I) In our attempts to resolve Mantis 2097, the committee would like to
address
2235 as well. The SV-BC believes the current proposal for 2097 is
viable
but would like to approve it only if 2235 will be approved. Based
on your
bug note, Neil, it would appear the SV-BC has your permission to
address
2235. Can you comment on this? Gord will take action on 2235 with
your
     permission.

    <Neil>
2097 - has Champion's feedback - it is ok for the svbc to work on
it.
       2235 - yes, the committee can work on 2235 - Champion's feedback.

(II) Regarding http://www.eda.org/svdb/view.php?id=1829

Both Shalom and I are unclear as to what this issue refers. Brad
made an
assumption that 325 is relevant, but I'm not convinced. Would you
please
ask JEITA to clarify the comments that generated 1829?

<Neil> I will need to work with Karen to get you feedback on this.

(III) Regarding issue 2269 http://www.eda.org/svdb/view.php?id=2269

Does the SV-BC have permission to add language to the 6.24.1 in
order to
clarify the behavior of sign casting?

<Neil> The committee currently does not have permission to work on
2269

One main issue that the Working Group has at this point is
to make sure that any further work done by the committees
will not
impact other committees. I took a quick look at this one and
it
appears that it won't affect the svcc.

What we did in the svec this morning is to allow some
committee
members to work on a couple of additional coverage related
issues.
We are then going to ask for permission from the Working
Group
(Feb 28) if they will allow the committee to approve those
proposals.
We should follow the same process for 2269 if you are in
agreement
that it won't affect any of the other committees.

The svec is meeting on March 3rd, the Monday following the
next
Working Group meeting. That will allow the committee to vote
on
their Mantis items, assuming the Working Group approves, in
time
for the Champions to be able to review them in their next
meeting.
