We spent at least two meetings where this topic was discussed. At the Jan
13th meeting the use of the term "singular" was proposed. Kevin raised the
issue that it was used in Verilog-AMS. The question was asked if there were
any other suggestions for terms. None were forthcoming.

At the next meeting (Monday) we will vote on this at the meeting. If anyone
wants to suggest another word they need to do it before Monday.

Regards
David

I might use "singular" to describe an event since you can't slice & dice
those, but I don't think there's much else I'd want to apply it to.

Scalar has the definition "a number possessing only sign and magnitude",
since simulation types also have strength and certainty neither word seems
really appropriate to me.

Maybe we could make up a new word e.g.: "homogen" (from homogeneous) ?

Kev.
