Steve, For mantis Item 505, you added the bug note: -------------------- In P1800-d5_prelim4.pdf, the text for this proposal appears in section 6.3.1.3. That section deals with type parameters. The text for this proposal is referring to value parameters and does not belong in that section. Since this text refers to the type of the value parameter, putting it in a section on type parameters is likely to result in extreme confusion. The re-organization to have separate sub-sections for type and value parameters is simply incompatible with the text modifications in this proposal. We need to write and approve new text to resolve the conflicts between these two changes. --------------------- I agree with your comments that the two different changes do not play well together, but I think the only problem is the flow of the text, and not a technical issue. Would it solve the problem if I just elevate the 6.3.1.x to be 6.3.x? The resulting subclause numbering would be: 6.3.1 Parameter declaration syntax 6.3.2 Value parameters 6.3.2.1 $ as a parameter value 6.3.3 Type parameters 6.3.4 Parameter port lists 6.3.5 Const constants I only have until this Tuesday evening to complete making all corrections noted in feedback items to the preliminary P1800/draft 5 (or P1364/draft 7). Therefore, we need to do something ASAP to reconcile the changes made by 505 and the item that reorganized the P1800 clauses (I don't remember the number, off hand).
