If you wanted to stretch the concept of a nettype to encompass the variable object kind, then using `default_nettype var would be a more consistent way to do it. Note that the requested functionality of defaulting to a single-driver net can already be accomplished by using `default_nettype uwire. The functionality of getting an alternate data type cannot, but that is not appropriate functionality for this directive.
