Co-design and Accellera have signed technology assignment letter in regards to DAS. Based on this letter, DAS is owned by Co-Design, until HDL+ (Accellerra) decides to accept its donation for standardization purposes. As such, the document is given to Accellera members for review and examination for possible standardization. Its distribution outside the HDL+ (vlog-pp and assertion) is not allowed, without written permission by Co-Design. The assertion and vlog-pp will review its content. The assertion committee should examine it from the points of view of how it meets or does not meet the requirement document voted by the group. The vlog-pp, will examine from the points of language and semantic in the context of both Verilog 2001 and SystemVerilog. If you plan to provide critique or analysis, please do so and copy both committees.
The HDL+ plan is to fold DAS into SystemVerilog release planned for Early May. The functionality, semantics, syntax and interoperability within Verilog or SystemVerilog should be analyzed and completed by middle of April (Stu will provide us with the absolute date). So please review, have discussions, then plan to vote for acceptance/modification/rejection by Early April.
