A meeting planned on short notice and the vote dismissed within two days???

Per our minutes of January 28th:

One meeting was planned during the best technical conference of the year.
At that meeting, a second meeting was planned on three days notice.
Proposals that I have been working on for months are going to be dismissed
this easily?

We agreed to 3 out of the last 4 meetings to give new serious committee
members a chance to vote and make a difference. We agreed to 75% of the
overall meetings to give long-time contributors who happen to have more
than one conflict in a recent 4-meeting period to still retain voting
eligibility.

Perhaps we should have established rules about eligible meetings (meetings
scheduled with adequate notice to permit committee members the opportunity
to make reasonable arrangements to attend or be represented by proxy).

PROPOSAL: Eligible meetings must be scheduled with two weeks notice. Other
meetings can be held but voting eligibility to be determined by attendance
at eligible meetings.

I have put in 100's of hours into developing and testing examples, writing
proposals, and attending every meeting possible. If my vote is invalidated
over someone who just joined the group and attended 3 out of the last 4
meetings, I will be quite upset.

BTW - I did attend the first face-to-face meeting last year. This was
corrected in the minutes once but apparently the master attendance sheet
was not updated because I have noticed that my attendance is again missing.
