All,
I have been working on the SystemVerilog draft 5 version, but might not
have it ready to send out before Monday's conference call.
The problem I've run into is the dozens of changes that are in the minutes
of the last 3 meetings, and in e-mails that resulted from those
meetings. With few exceptions, these changes do not provide me the
necessary information of WHERE to apply the change. Some "change orders"
specify a page number, but that is worthless to me. As soon as I make a
few changes, my page numbers no longer correspond to anything in the change
orders. None of the change orders tell me which draft version they refer
to, making it even more difficult to figure out where to apply the
change. Many of the change orders do not specify any information at
all. No draft number, no page number, no section number, no nothing. I'm
wasting a huge amount of time searching back and forth in various PDF files
trying to figure where to apply each change.
For those recommending a change to the SystemVerilog LRM, PLEASE be sure to
specify the draft number, section number, and paragraph of where to apply
the change.
I'll keep plugging away with what I have, and get the draft 5 out as soon
as I can.
