has to be tested by Alec.
ACTION: Stefen to send out new BNF.

Editor Notes:
Section 2 beginning - Name change should be completed
Section 3.8 - Casting - parentheses are required
Section 5.3 - Leave as is
Section 7.1 - Leave it in place
Section 7.5 - Operators need to be spelt out. Stu to write wording based on
what is legal for existing operators.
Section 7.9 - ACTION Peter needs to get back to Committee on rules for
unspecified size in concatenation
Section 9 - Decide after FSM discussion
Section 10 Note 1 - Intro looks like it needs to be a new section 10.8,
something like Process Execution or Threads

Annex B - Should we reserve certain keywords for future proposals, for
example pointers (SUPERLOG uses ref). Word state should not be on list,
although transition should be kept. Extern is already there. Annex C - Stu to complete Glossary List

Open Issues

Packed Arrays
Looking at Paul's Proposal, 1 & 2 dropped. 3,4,5,6 are OK. ACTION on Peter to provide documentation for 6 to cover $left / $right. ACTION Paul to provide detailed proposal for syntax on 3,4,5. Arithmetic
operations already agreed to be deferred to 3.1

Deprecation
ACTION: Cliff to send a new proposal with softer wording to deprecate
procedural assign/deassign and defparam.

State Machines
Decided that we need a vote to choose whether to keep in 3.0 or defer to
3.1. Vassilios should drive vote as chair.
ACTION Vassilios to drive email vote on FSM status for Wednesday, vote to
be complete by Friday
