All, P1800/D5 contains the following changes: - 98 SV-BC Mantis items - 52 SV-EC Mantis items - 15 V-1364 Mantis items - Uncounted hundreds of editorial corrections (cross references, spelling, grammar, punctuation, IEEE wording requirements, etc.) All changes between draft 4 and draft 5 are marked with change bars in the left margin, and are in either blue text, or red strike-through text. Changes that are the result of Mantis items have the Mantis number in the right margin. For convenience in tracking changes, all Mantis items corrections that had been made in previous versions are in green text. All wording added by the editor during the merge of 1364-2005 and 1800-2005 is in purple text. These changes that were made in previous drafts do not have change bars. Only changes made for draft 5 have change bars. Sorting the Mantis data base for items with a "status" of "completed" will give a list of all Mantis items that committees need to verify were correctly incorporated into the LRM. You should be able to just search for the Mantis number when reviewing to see if the items were implemented correctly. After reviewing the changes, the Mantis item status needs to be changed to "closed" if the corrections were implemented correctly, or "editor" if not correct. If not correct, a note should be added as to what corrections are required. Note that the list of completed items that need review is more than the total of changes listed above. This is because many items that were corrected in draft 4 were never reviewed and closed. The current schedule calls for draft 6 to be released 4 weeks from now, May 28th. Draft 6 will incorporate approved mantis items from the SV-AC and SV-CC committees. This schedule means that SV-BC and SV-EC committees should give high priority to reviewing the changes in draft 5, in order to have any editorial corrections to those changes show up in draft 6 (draft 7 won't come out until this fall, and will be the pre-ballot review draft). Finally, there are a number of editor questions in the margins (search for "Question"). I would very much like to have all those questions answered and the boxes deleted in draft 6! The BC committee is currently looking at the questions in the clauses that fall under its domain. The EC, AC, and CC committees need to do the same.
