Simon,
Please read the Accellera Rules and Guidelines. It was distributed to you and everyone on the board as well every committee member.
Please play as a team player. please confine yourself to the board business and stop interfering with technical activities. You have destroyed the moral of SystemVerilog Committee meeting and tried to make it into a circus.
You had no objection when I made your people to be co-chairs. You also did not object when Tom Fitz, who worked for Co-Design and donated the assertion, chaired the assertion language committee for SystemVerilog. Now because I am appointing an excellent leader, you do not want him because he happen to work for Synopsys.
Vassilios

Dennis
I would like a couple of quick things put on our agenda for the board
meeting next week.
1) Voting rules for committees as I was confused yesterday in the
SystemVerilog committee about the process and how voting rules can change
without a vote
2) the appointment of committee chairs - we need a process such that we can
set things not to have any hint of conflict of interest
For Accellera to be truly successful and to attract the likes of Intel etc
to take a more active role - we have do everything very cleanly and in such
a way that there can never be any question of wrong doing or manipulation -
look at the mess that SystemC got into with Bill van Cleemput - and the way
people supposedly tried to influence/control that committee.
I think we need to have our processes explained and refined if necessary.
Thanks.
Simon.
